Brain Gym Introductions
Rocky Mountain Brain Gym instructors offer a variety of introductory Brain Gym classes from 1 hour conference presentations and keynotes to 1 and 2-day presentations. These introductory presentations are ideal for teacher in-services, conference break-outs, and team building or personal development on the job or in your office. With a Brain Gym intro, you'll find how easy learning can be and how easy it is to change an unwanted habit or pattern. You'll discover that Brain Gym is simple, quick, and effective.
Introductory classes and individual sessions are always be tailed to your specific needs, group, age, sport, or academic concentration. Just contact an instructor and tell them what you need.
For Example, Heidi Nyland shows how Brain Gym movements can be used with horseback riding. Pamela Curlee helps you discover how Brain Gym can improve your golf score. Debi Peterson works with corporate groups to improve office productivity and harmony through Brain Gym. Dr. MaryJo Wagner offers Brain Gym as a TeleClass for those who can't make it to an in-person class or want a quick review. She also regularly teaches 1 and 2-day classes. Several Rocky Mountain Brain Gym consultants work in the schools with children. Each instructor has a special talent. Visit our instructors page to learn more about each member.
You can sign up for an already-scheduled introduction or teleconference by checking our calendar. Or you can schedule an introductory Brain Gym class or short presentation for your group by contacting individual instructors. Most instructors also offer one-on-one Brain Gym Balances to assist you or your child with a learning or emotional challenge. Check the instructor list.
*Introductory Brain Gym classes do not count toward Brain Gym licensure or
re-licensure. If you are interested in becoming a Brain Gym consultant or instructor yourself, you must begin by taking the 3-day Brain Gym 101.
Brain Gym® 101 24 Hours
This course is for Special Educators, Therapists, Parents, Teachers, Physical Education Teachers, and anyone else wanting to learn with ease. The class can count toward contact hours or CEUs for most therapists and nurses. Brain Gym® movements stimulate brain function. The activities are easy and enjoyable and they bring about rapid and often dramatic improvements in concentration, organization, memory, reading, writing, listening, physical coordination and more. These activities promote more effective neurological functioning through stimulus of the proprioceptive, vestibular, voluntary nervous and other systems of the mind/body connections.This course offers participants methods and techniques that can immediately be used with individuals or groups. Much attention is given to noticing/assessment skills.
201 - Optimal Brain Organization Profiles (OBO) (formerly BOP) – 16 Hours
Discover the concepts of hemispheric specialization, identification, and balancing to facilitate whole-brain learning. Open to students who have taken Brain Gym.
220 - Visioncircles® (VC) 24 Hours
A road map to the completion of developmental skills through movement, play, and art. Emphasis on vision enhancement. Open to students who have taken Brain Gym.
301 - Edu-K In Depth: Seven Dimensions of Intelligence (EID) 32 Hours
Hands-on experience with seven dimensions of body movement, focusing on how each can support or block the learning process. Students learn to permanently integrate the principles of whole brain learning into their own processes. Open to students who have taken Brain Gym®. Prerequisite for Brain Gym® instructor licensure.
Touch For Health Level I
This normally 16-hour course provides practical skills to manage stress, reduce physical and mental pain and tension and increase overall energy without the use of drugs. Also, included in this course are specific tests, exercises and movements for enhanced learning, improving coordination and finding food sensitivities. You will learn techniques of applied Kinesiology and acupressure massage.
311 - Total Core Repatterning 24 Hours
Focuses on the recognition of primitive homolateral reflexes that become integrated by repatterning. Training in the latest techniques for integrating primitive reflexes which interfere with learning and mature motor control. These tools are useful for helping all individuals, regardless of neurological or physiological limitations. Open to students who have taken Edu-K In Depth.
401 - Brain Gym ® Teacher Practicum (P) 32 Hours
Designed for those who wish to develop and successfully teach Brain Gym in a class or private format. Provides instruction in theory, teaching methods, and procedures, and development of an action plan for achieving professional goals. Open to students who have taken Brain Gym ® twice, Brain Organization Profiles, Edu-K In Depth, thirty hours of electives, and who have completed required case studies.
